What’s the Ford Maverick’s top trim?
We’re adding a second pickup truck to our family, and I’m looking to park a Ford Maverick next to my F-150. But before I start shopping for this new truck, could you guys tell me which is the Ford Maverick’s top trim? I know from the F-150 how Ford loves piling up the trim levels!

Unlike the Ford F-150 and its seventy-bajillion trim levels, things are a lot simpler with the Ford Maverick: they only offer three trim levels for their compact front-wheel drive pickup (all-wheel drive is optional).
All three trims—the XL, XLT, and Lariat—come with a 191-horsepower inline four-cylinder 2.5-liter hybrid engine, or an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter straight four pushing 250 horses. So the differences in trim levels are more in line with what you’d expect from the trims of a crossover or a sedan. It’s more about form than function.
The Ford Maverick’s top trim is the Lariat trim. It boasts 18” aluminum wheels, a 6.5” digital instrument cluster screen, power seats, dual climate control, LED lights, ambient lighting, and push-button start, amongst other features. Not bad for a pickup truck costing less than the base level F-150, right?
The Ford Maverick is a solid truck all around, and its hybrid engine puts it deservedly on our list of the most eco-friendly pickups on the market today. It has plenty of power for general use and it’s great for those times when you’re transitioning between urban and rural environments. We think you’ll like the Lariat trim.
