What’s the Ford Maverick’s top trim?
We’re adding a second pickup truck to our family, and I’m looking to park a Ford Maverick next to my F-150. But before I start shopping for this new truck, could you guys tell me which is the Ford Maverick’s top trim? I know from the F-150 how Ford loves piling up the trim levels!

Unlike the Ford F-150 and its seventy-bajillion trim levels, things are a lot simpler with the
Ford Maverick
: they only offer three trim levels for their compact front-wheel drive pickup (all-wheel drive is optional).All three trims—the XL, XLT, and Lariat—come with a 191-horsepower inline four-cylinder 2.5-liter hybrid engine, or an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter straight four pushing 250 horses. So the differences in trim levels are more in line with what you’d expect from the trims of a crossover or a sedan. It’s more about form than function.
The Ford Maverick’s top trim is the Lariat trim. It boasts 18” aluminum wheels, a 6.5” digital instrument cluster screen, power seats, dual climate control, LED lights, ambient lighting, and push-button start, amongst other features. Not bad for a pickup truck costing less than the base level F-150, right?
The Ford Maverick is a solid truck all around, and its hybrid engine puts it deservedly on our list of
the most eco-friendly pickups
