What’s the Ford F-150’s top trim
I’m shopping for a Ford F-150, and all of these trims are confusing. I don’t even know where to start. Why are there so many? What’s the Ford F-150’s top trim and the most well-rounded trim?

We can help narrow your search for the top Ford F-150 trim based on how you plan to use your new truck. It could be the Lariat, KL, KLT, Tremor, Raptor or Limited.
Most cars have clearly defined trim levels. The higher your trim level gets, the more features your car gets. Simple, right? Well, pickup trucks work a little differently. The best trim for one driver won’t be the best for another. So the Ford F-150’s trims are plotted out to suit different driver profiles, with other trims affecting features and prices within those groups.
The Ford F-150’s top trim for general use is the Lariat. At just over $57,000, this trim balances functionality with more luxurious premium features. It’s a big step from the base model XL trim and the mid-range XLT trim. If you’re not doing any crazy offroading and you don’t care to have luxury car features in a pickup truck, this is the option for you.
If offroading is more your thing—we don’t mean driving down a dirt road, but driving where there aren’t any roads—the Tremor and Raptor trims are what you’re looking for. The Raptor is the Ford F-150’s top trim for offroading, with a standard 3.5-liter V6 or an optional supercharged 5.2-liter V8.
Last but not least we have the Limited trim, the Ford F-150’s top trim for luxury and comfort and the most expensive overall. This dapper pickup is dressed to impress with leather seats, a premium sound system, and a twin-panel moonroof. But it’s still work-site-ready and can tow up to 14,000 pounds with its 400-horsepower and 500 lb.-ft of torque.
The Ford F-150 has eight trims, but those are the three top trims for those various uses. We hope this guide helps you find the perfect Ford F-150 to suit your needs.
