. The best years for a used Volkswagen Tiguan
are from 2009 to 2014. Most notably, the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan ranked the highest for reliability.The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan delivers a well-mannered ride quality and ample power from its turbocharged engine while delivering solid build quality and premium interior features.
Drivers mention minor issues with the 2012 Tiguan, but even if they do arise, they’re not costly. However, the 2012 Tiguan is subject to some transmission issues, where it tries to shift into sixth gear as soon as possible to save fuel.
Even though the Volkswagen Tiguan reps sporty looks and good driving dynamics, it doesn’t have a record of the most positive reviews since its introduction to the market in 2009. However, models from 2012 and the early years fared better than more recent models manufactured from 2015 to 2019.
