What’s the best time to visit Niagara Falls?

When should I plan my trip to Niagara Falls with my family? I want to make sure that it won’t be too cold while we’re there, but I would love to avoid some of the tourists if possible.

The best time of year to visit Niagara Falls in upstate New York is from June to August. This is when the area is at its warmest, so you’ll be able to avoid the cold that comes with spring, winter, and fall in New York.
Niagara Falls is also pleasant during this time because the falls let off a cooling mist. While temperatures average around 80 degrees, you’ll feel cool and comfortable while you’re near the waterfall portion of Niagara Falls thanks to the spray coming from the falls themselves.
