Should I visit Napa Valley in the summer or will it be too hot? I’ve never been there before but I love wine and so does my partner, so we’ve been talking about taking a trip there forever!
. The summer months are very wet and July and August, in particular, can be incredibly hot and humid. Instead, visit January through March or late August through mid-September.
January through March won’t necessarily provide the most idyllic scenery, since you’ll be visiting at the end of winter—but hotels will be significantly cheaper during this time. You’ll also typically experience very nice, clear weather in the mid-50s.
If you choose to visit in the late summer or early fall, you might still experience some of the wet season during your stay. But you’ll see an idyllic fall scene with lots of beautiful foliage to look at!
