Tesla Model X
has AWD and excellent ground clearance, making it a good pick for snow driving. Of course, you’ll need to get winter tires or chains to achieve safe driving conditions. You should only buy chains and winter tires directly from Tesla.There are additional considerations for driving an electric or hybrid vehicle in winter. Cold temperatures can sometimes be a challenge for your battery and regenerative braking systems. Yes, Tesla vehicles have been engineered to withstand some snowy conditions. However, it’s worth reading your owner’s manual to learn about the extra steps necessary to take care of your car in the winter.
The Tesla Model Y or the Model S with AWD could fare well in snowy conditions, too. Just make sure to practice safe behaviors for driving in the snow and be extra cautious in inclement weather. Get chains and obey local regulations, and your Tesla should be able to handle a bit of snow with ease.
