would be to go through Oregon
instead of Idaho
, which is known to have more severe winter conditions. You’ll take I-5 S to I-80 E for several hours before merging onto US-6 W. Then you’ll take the US-93 S to US-60 E for the rest of the way. It will be a long drive for you and the family! Park your RV for the night a few times along the way at some of these great stops:
- Mt. Hood National Forest: Gorgeous Mt. Hood is located in Oregon about 4.5 hours from Seattle, and offers plenty of campsites to park your RV for a night or two.
- Battle Mountain, NV: A great historic town to stop for a night! Stop by the Battle Mountain Cookhouse Museum to learn the history of the small town.
- Las Vegas: If you need a break from the outdoors, check out the more family-friendly activities that Las Vegas has to offer! There are many exhibits, museums, shopping, and dining choices for the entire family.
