What’s the best route to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix?
I promised my daughter that I would take her to the Grand Canyon if she got all A’s this semester, and she did! What’s the best route for us to take from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, and how long will it take?
will depend on whether you prioritize a scenic drive or getting there quickly.
If you want to take the scenic route, take State Route 179 N until you reach Sedona. Stop for a break, lunch, and to take in the city. Leave by State Route 89A, then take Interstate 40 W to State Route 64 N. You can follow 64 to Grand Canyon National Park!
If you want to get there faster, however, you can take Interstate 17 N instead. Then, merge onto Interstate 40 W, and finally, exit to State Road 64 N, which you can follow to Grand Canyon National Park.
