What’s the best route to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas?

I want to visit the Grand Canyon while my husband and I are taking a road trip this summer, and the best time to do it would be after we leave Vegas. Is there a good route from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon?

The best route to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas is via I-515 S, I-11 S, US-93 S, I-40 E, and W Historic Route 66. These five highways will take you to the Grand Canyon in about 4 hours and 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
If you’re looking for a more scenic route, however, you can take Route 66 earlier rather than driving east on I-40 first. The drive will be slightly longer this way, but there are tons of fun roadside attractions along the famous Route 66 that you can visit to break up your drive to the Grand Canyon!
