What’s the best route from Tucson to Los Angeles?

Should I stop for the night when driving between Tucson and Los Angeles, or will I be okay to make the drive in one trip? I’m visiting my dad’s new house in LA and I’m trying to decide how many days to ask off of work.

The best route from
Tucson
to Los Angeles is via I-10 West. You’ll be on the road for about seven-and-a-half hours in total, so you don’t necessarily need to stop for the night along the way. However, you should definitely take breaks throughout the drive, with at least one substantial break of an hour or so.
Taking breaks will ensure that you stay awake and alert while you’re behind the wheel. It will also give you a chance to stretch your legs and back, which can prevent cramping and pain! It’s typically recommended that you stop for at least 15 minutes every two hours, but stopping in the middle of your trip to eat lunch is a good idea, too.
