I’m going to a destination wedding in Sedona, and some of us were thinking about heading up north to sightsee afterwards. What’s the best route from Sedona to the Grand Canyon?

Sedona is a gorgeous spot for a wedding, and the area surrounding it is just as beautiful.
The best route from Sedona to the Grand Canyon will take you north along twisty State Highway 89A before merging on to I-40 West, then north along AZ-64 to the canyon. This route is the fastest and easiest due to most of it being divided highway.
If you’d like a more scenic route, continue on 89A through
Flagstaff
, then take US-180 West to connect with AZ-64 in Grand Canyon Junction. You’ll be traveling through a beautiful part of the country, so whichever way you go make sure you take your time and enjoy!
