What’s the best route from Reno to Los Angeles?

What’s the best way to drive from Reno to Los Angeles if I’ll only be able to stay there for one full day before driving home again? I’ve never been to LA, and I don’t know if the drive is worth it.

The best route from Reno to Los Angeles is via US-395 S, I-580 S, and I-5 S.
While it’s up to you to decide whether or not the drive is worth it, you should be warned that the trip will take you about seven and a half hours to complete. Travel times can vary with traffic conditions, too, so use a GPS app to make sure that you’re still on the best route.
Remember that driving to LA means you’ll have to drive seven and a half hours back, too. That’s a total of 15 hours of driving, which is a lot of time to spend behind the wheel! Make sure to stretch regularly, take lots of breaks, and stay hydrated so that you can be at your best for the whole trip.
