What’s the best route from Orlando to Miami?

Can I get from Orlando to Miami and back within a few hours? I’m in the process of moving from one city to another and I’m trying to decide if I should use my car for multiple trips or fold for a moving truck.

While you could conceivably drive from Orlando to Miami,
Florida
and back again one time in a single day, the drive will take you at least three-and-a-half hours each wayeven if you take the fastest route available. The good news is that you can take Florida’s Turnpike for the entire drive, so even if you do need a moving truck, the drive will be a straight shot.
Getting a moving truck is also a good idea if you have lots of big, bulky items that will inhibit your ability to see, move, or secure your cargo properly. Things like a large mattress, big furniture pieces, and other large items are typically better off in a truck than in the back of your car.
