I’ve never seen the Pacific Ocean before and I want my first time to be in Los Angeles. I currently live in New York City. If I plan to drive, what’s the best way to get from NYC to LA?

is quite the journey. Once you see the Pacific Ocean for the first time, though, you’ll be glad you made the trip. Here’s the best route from NYC to LA:- Hop on I-80 West out of NYC
- Near Cleveland, I-80 merges into I-90
- Take exit 102 off I-80 to get on I-76 towardDenver
- I-76 will merge into I-70 just north of Denver
- I-70 dead-ends into I-15 in Utah, so take I-15 South
- Ride on I-15 South to exit 109A for I-10 West
- Take that right into the city
