What’s the best route from NJ to AZ?

Is there an easy way to drive from NJ to AZ? I really want to visit my parents and I do not want to fly, but driving feels really overwhelming.

The best route from
NJ
to
AZ
will take you about 36 hours of driving in total, so you would need to be prepared to spend a few nights on the road to make it easier. Here is the route we recommend:
  1. Spend your first day driving to Columbus, Ohio. Depending on where you leave from in New Jersey, this will probably take you about nine hours.
  2. The next day, drive about seven hours to St. Louis, Missouri.
  3. Next, drive about seven and a half hours to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
  4. From there, you can drive to Albuquerque, New Mexico in about eight hours.
  5. Finally, you’re ready to drive into Arizona! Getting to Phoenix will take about seven and a half hours, but you might need more (or less!) time to get to the exact city you want.
When you’re preparing for a drive like that, it’s a good idea to check up on your
