I’ve been thinking of taking my girlfriend up to the Grand Canyon to propose. We currently live in Las Vegas—what’s the best way to get to the Grand Canyon from here?

Congrats on the proposal! The best route from
Las Vegas
to the Grand Canyon depends on whether you’re going to the North Rim (approximately 260 miles) or the South Rim (approximately 280 miles). ,To get to the South Rim from Las Vegas:
- Get on I-515 S
- Continue on to I-11 S, which turns into US-93 S
- In Kingman, get on I-40 E
- Take exit 165 to AZ-64 N
- Follow AZ-64 N to your destination in Grand Canyon Village!
To get to the North Rim from Las Vegas:
- Get on I-15 N
- Take exit 16 to UT-9 E
- In Hurricane, UT, get on to UT-59 heading east
- Continue from UT-59 S to AZ-389 E as you cross the border into Arizona
- In Fredonia, turn right on Main Street, which turns into US-89A S
- After about 30 miles, turn right onto AZ-67 S
- Continue into the park
