Your best route from
Flagstaff
to the Grand Canyon will depend on whether you plan to visit the North or the South Rim. Contrary to what you may think, it’ll take you less time to get to the North Rim, but most visitors prefer the South Rim with its facilities in the Grand Canyon Village.Here are your options:
- To visit the North Rim, take US-89 N out of Flagstaff, then catch AZ-64 W in Cameron. Follow this into the park.
- To visit the South Rim, take US-180 N out of Flagstaff, and head north on AZ-64 at Grand Canyon Junction.
AZ-64 runs along the South Rim of the Canyon for several miles and offers several excellent spots to pull off and take in the views.
