What's the best route from DC to NYC?

I’ve always wanted to go to a game at Yankee Stadium, but I’ve never had the chance until now. I currently live in DC, but I’ve never driven that route before. What’s the best driving route between DC and NYC?

Although the old Yankee Stadium may have had history and a little bit of charm, the new version of Yankee Stadium is definitely a must-visit for even the most casual baseball fan. If you want to go to a game at Yankee Stadium but you live in
DC
, you’ll only have to travel about 230 miles, so it’s not all that bad—here’s the best route from DC to NYC:
  • Take the Baltimore-Washington Expressway to Baltimore.
  • Use I-895 to bypass Baltimore.
  • Continue on I-95.
  • Just outside of Wilmington, Delaware, stay left to get onto I-295.
  • Continue on the NJ Turnpike/I-95.
  • Take exit 13 for I-278.
  • Stay left to get onto I-478 into NYC and then take local roads all the way to the Bronx.
As one of the most expensive places on the planet, NYC definitely requires some extra funds to enjoy the city and find decent seats at Yankee Stadium. If you’re looking for ways to save before your trip, check out the
