I’m planning a cross-country road trip for next summer and trying to map out some destinations. Right now, I’m planning on attending a concert in Chicago, and then I know I want to visit Yellowstone National Park. What’s the best route to Yellowstone from Chicago?

to Yellowstone National Park probably sounds daunting to those who hate spending time in the car, the route along I-90 West offers plenty to see and do for road trippers! Your drive will take you through:
If you’re interested in hiking and camping, you’ll have plenty of options. Stop anywhere from the Sandhill Station Campground along the Glacial Drumlin State Trail in Wisconsin, to the Great River Bluffs State Park Campground in Minnesota, to the Palisades State Park Campground in South Dakota.
Of course, no trip through South Dakota is complete without a trip to the Badlands, and everyone’s favorite views can be taken in by simply driving along Badlands Loop Road. Need to take a break from the outdoors? Try visiting the iconic Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD. With over 200 billboards advertising the drugstore along I-90, you should have no trouble locating it.
