What's the best route from Chicago to Las Vegas?

I’m a huge Blackhawks fan, so this upcoming year, I want to see a Blackhawks game in Las Vegas. I’m not too keen on flying, so I think I’ll just drive. What’s the best driving route from Chicago to Las Vegas?

Although they’ve only been in the league for a few years, the Vegas Golden Knights are definitely some stiff competition. If you want to get head out west to see the Blackhawks take on the Knights, the trip takes 25 hours and covers over 1,700 miles. Here’s the best route from Chicago to Las Vegas:
  • Hop on I-80 West to get out of the Chicagoland area.
  • Stay on I-80 until you reach
    Nebraska
    .
  • Take exit 102 near the Nebraska-Colorado border for I-76 West.
  • Merge onto I-70 West when you reach
    Denver
    .
  • Take the I-15 South exit near Sulphurdale, Utah.
  • Stay on I-15 until you see the lights that signal you’re in Sin City.
