What's the best roadside assistance provider?

"I've been with Progressive and Travelers over the years and I can't say that I recommend their roadside assistance services. I've waited up to four hours for assistance, when I could have just walked to a gas station on my own (I ran out of gas).

What's the best roadside assistance provider?"

AAA
is probably the most reputable roadside assistance company in North America.
They hire more contractors than any insurance company, which gives them more coverage around the country. With more coverage, your wait time will likely be less than with your current
car insurance
policy.
You should shop around on sites like
Jerry
to see what each car insurance company covers for roadside assistance. You can easily compare reviews of their services online.
Another alternative is to get a car insurance policy but then add a separate AAA roadside assistance membership. Many people do this and most are happy with it.”
