The best route from the Grand Canyon to Sedona,
Arizona
will take you mostly along US-180 E, which takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes and covers 108 miles.
Heading south from the Grand Canyon takes you through Kaibab National Forest with its stunning forests, amazing red rocks, and of course the sizzling desert.
Next, you’ll hit Flagstaff—be sure to take a peek at the Lowell Observatory, which hasn’t really accomplished much, other than, you know, discovering Pluto.
From Flagstaff, you’ll ride Arizona Route 89 into Sedona, where you can slow down by enjoying this desert town’s vibrant arts scene, numerous spas, New Age shops, and of course multiple trailheads through Red Rock State Park. Enjoy hiking, bird-watching, and picnicking in this gorgeous part of the Southwest.
