If you have a fear of flying, also known as aerophobia, you aren’t alone—up to 25 million adults in the U.S. alone suffer from this condition. The drive down to Palm Springs is a chill one, however: here’s the best driving route from
Seattle
to Palm Springs:
  • Hop on I-5 out of Seattle.
  • Continue on I-5 all the way down to Santa Clarita.
  • Take exit 161A for I-210.
  • Continue on I-210 until you reach San Bernardino.
  • Take exit 85B for I-10.
  • Take exit 111 for CA-111 and ride it into Palm Springs.
The trip covers 1,240 miles and takes about 18.5 hours, so you may want to break the trip up into two or three days.
