What’s the 2023 Kia Sorento’s release date?

My partner and I are expecting our third child later this year, so we need to upsize to a larger SUV with three rows. I’m digging the Kia Sorento, but I want the latest model. When was the 2023 Sorento released?

The 2023
Kia Sorento
was released in the second half of 2022, but there was no specific date. With a complete redesign in 2022, the 2023 model didn’t have many changes.
Here’s what’s new for the 2023 Kia Sorento:
  • All models come standard with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert
  • S trim includes a wireless smartphone charging pad
  • EX trim adds an eight-way power-adjustable passenger's seat and a frameless rearview mirror
  • SX now includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, power-folding exterior mirrors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • The Sorento Hybrid S base model discontinued
  • Hybrid SX-P trim with standard all-wheel drive, 17-inch wheels, leather seating, and captain's chairs for the second row added
  • Hybrid EX adds an eight-way power front-passenger seat and a frameless rearview mirror
  • 2023 Sorento PHEV only available in SX-Prestige trim with retractable rear-door sunshades, a 115-volt inverter, and a better electric driving range
Whether you opt for the entry-level LX or the top-of-the-line SX-Prestige PHEV, the Sorento offers excellent safety reviews, a spacious and tech-filled interior, and plenty of advanced driver safety aids.
