What's the 2017 Jeep Cherokee oil type?

I just double-checked the mileage on my Jeep Cherokee, and I’m nearly ready for an oil change. I was going to take it to a repair shop, but they can’t get me in for two weeks, so I’m going to change it myself. What oil type do I need for a 2017 Jeep Cherokee?

With labor shortages and kinks in the supply chain, many repair shops can’t keep up, so it makes sense that you want to change your oil at home. The oil type for a 2017
Jeep Cherokee
is either SAE 0W-20 or SAE 5W-20 motor oil depending on the engine. The 2.4-liter engine needs 5.2 quarts of 0W-20 and the 3.2-liter engine needs 5.7 quarts of 5W-20.
Jeep recommends full synthetic motor oil, but a synthetic blend will also work. Keep in mind that a full synthetic motor oil provides better performance and fuel economy. It also offers 7,500 miles between oil changes compared to about 5,000 miles for synthetic blend motor oil.
