What’s the 2010 Nissan Altima’s oil type?

It’s time for me to learn how to change my oil, but I’m going to need to get supplies first! What oil should I buy?

Learning to change your own oil is a great way to save money! The
2010 Nissan Altima
oil type is SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) 5W-30 engine oil.
If you notice any of the following symptoms, it’s likely time for an oil change:
  • Ticking sound emitting from the engine
  • Transmission issues/trouble shifting
  • Car shakes while idling
  • Heavy exhaust smoke
  • Low fuel economy
If you notice any of the above and/or see the
“Check Engine”
or “Oil Change” lights come on, then you should take your car to the mechanic to have it checked out.
Before that happens, however, you should ensure you change your Altima’s oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles for the engine’s health and maximum efficiency. Neglecting to change your oil on schedule can cause great damage to the engine over time and corrode other internal components.
And while you’re changing your oil, why not check your car insurance? If you’re not getting the best deal on the best coverage, you can use Jerry’s smart insurance coverage and brokerage services to change that.
