Considering that the
Subaru WRX
went through a complete redesign with an all-new fifth WRX generation last year, car experts are not expecting the 2023 sports sedan model to go through any major changes. But one thing we know for sure is that the high-performance WRX STI
model will not be returning to the 2023 lineup. Subaru has not released any official information about the 2023 WRX as of late June, but here are the major changes the 2022 WRX underwent:
- First model year built on the future-forward Subaru Global Platform
- Given a 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER engine that produces 271 horsepower
- Equipped with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Active Torque Vectoring
- New interior redesign
- Newly available Subaru performance transmission (standard on the GT trim)
- Newly available 11.6-inch tablet-style Subaru Starlink Multimedia Plus infotainment system
- New safety features included with EyeSight Assist Technology
Car experts believe the starting price for the 2023 Subaru WRX will begin at $30,000 and predict its release in early 2023.
