What’s a 2008 Honda Accord’s oil type?

My cousin is potentially giving me their 2008 Honda Accord. I already have a car, but it’s much older and it’s time to switch. I do all of my own maintenance so I’m wondering what type of oil I’m going to need to get.

The 2008
Honda Accord
takes 5W-30 engine oil.
You can use either synthetic or conventional oil—just be sure to change it per the manufacturer’s recommendations, which is typically every 5,000 to 7,000 miles.
If you drive aggressively or notice any smoking, sputtering, bad smells, or check engine lights, you’ll need to change it sooner.
Rock on for changing your own oil—and congrats on the new-to-you car!
Once you get this “new” car, you’ll need to make sure it’s insured.
