What year was the first Chrysler Town & Country LX?

My grandfather left me a Chrysler Town & Country LX, but I’m thinking about putting it up for sale. I don’t know much about the car, so I’m doing some research before listing it. When was the Town & Country LX first released?

Researching a car before putting it on the market is a great idea! The
Chrysler Town & Country LX
was released in 2008. It served as the base trim level for the minivan and featured the following:
  • 3.3 L V6 engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission
  • AM/FM radio with CD player and a 4-speaker sound system
  • “Stow ‘N’ Go” seats to maximize cargo space
The LX base trim level was discontinued in 2010 and reintroduced in 2015. At the time, the Town & Country received the NHTSA’s 5-star
safety rating
and featured the following upgrades:
  • 3.6 L Pentastar VVT V6 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission
  • A touch-screen sound system with six speakers
  • Power-sliding rear doors and a power tailgate
  • A security system
You’ll want to cancel your insurance plan before you sell your Town & Country LX and insure another vehicle—
