What year was the first Chevrolet Trax LT?

I’ve been looking for a new Chevrolet SUV, and the Trax caught my eye—it's a sweet-looking compact crossover! I’m doing as much research on it as I can before I walk into a dealership. I’m wondering though, what year was the first Chevrolet Trax LT made?

It’s always smart to do as much research on a vehicle (and its history) as possible before walking into a dealership and test driving a car—but to answer your question, the first
Chevrolet Trax LT
debuted in 2013.
The Chevy Trax is a compact crossover that was introduced as a smaller, leaner alternative to the larger Chevrolet Equinox. It was heralded as a unique entrant to the crossover space, with its easy maneuverability, oodles of passenger space despite its small size, plenty of storage space, generous standard offerings, and affordability—the Trax can be found on the used market today for between $15,000 and $22,000, depending on the model year, mileage, and condition of the vehicle.
Critics did take the Trax to task for its cheap-looking interior, sluggish power, especially on the highway, and less cargo space than its rivals.
The Chevrolet Trax LT’s standard safety features included:
  • Anti-lock brakes
  • Traction and stability control
  • Tront seat side airbags
  • Front and side curtain airbags
  • Rearview camera
The LT also came equipped with:
  • Roof rails
  • Cruise control
  • Remote start
  • Upgraded cloth upholstery
  • Satellite radio
  • OnStar telematics
  • 110V power outlet
