What year was the first Chevrolet Tahoe C1500 LT?

I’m in the market for a used SUV. My father used to own a Tahoe LT that I enjoyed, and I’m fairly certain it was the C1500. What was the first year of the Chevrolet Tahoe C1500 LT and how is it different from the K1500?

The first year for the
Chevrolet Tahoe C1500 LT
was 2000, when the trim debuted as the mid-level option of five available Tahoe trims. As far as the C1500 vs. K1500 debate, the letters simply refer to the drivetrain. C1500 is rear-wheel drive and K1500 is four-wheel-drive.
Even though you can find a used option for around $2,000, the 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe C1500 LT comes with some great standard features:
  • 5.3-liter V-8 with 285 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque
  • 8,800-pound max towing capacity
  • 16-inch aluminum wheels
  • Deluxe chrome grille
  • Optional leather upholstery
  • Six-way power front seats
  • Automatic dual halogen headlamps
