Chevrolet’s
original Suburban could seat up to eight passengers and featured a removable row of seats for increased cargo space. Other features of the Suburban c1500 throughout its first generation included:- 60-hp “Stovebolt” inline-six-cylinder engine
- Art Deco exterior design features
- Increased to 79-hp
Today’s Suburban is quite a bit more than the 1935 version in pretty much every way. It can still comfortably haul eight people, but it now features:
- An available 420-hp 6.2L V8
- 22-inch wheels
- Up to 27 mpg highway with the available diesel engine
