What year was the first Buick Verano?

My grandpa is super into Buicks and I tease him that his taste in cars is as ancient as he is. (Don’t worry, we have a great relationship!) But now I’m wondering how long Buick has actually been around. He drives a Buick Verano, which seems like a newer car—when did they first come to market?

It sounds like you have a very fun and playful relationship with your grandfather! The year the first
Buick Verano
debuted was 2011.
But the Verano was short-lived. According to GM, a phase-out began in 2016 due to changing consumer market dynamics.
Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane and look at some of the Buick Verano’s standard features:
  • Cruise control
  • Split-folding rear seats
  • Dual climate control
  • 6-speaker audio system with a USB port and CD player
