What year was the first Buick Lucerne CXL?

I know that Buick didn’t always have the CXL trim. When did the Lucerne CXL first come out?

The first
Buick
Lucerne CXL made its debut in the year 2008, two years after the introduction of the Lucerne itself. The CXL trim was the mid-level trim between the basic Buick Lucerne CX and the high-end Buick Lucerne Super.
The CXL came with a standard a 197-horsepower V6 engine, leather seating, and 17-inch wheels. Buick offered a number of upgrade packages for the Lucerne. Those available for the CXL trim were:
  • Comfort and Convenience Package: This package, which was standard on the CXL trim, included dual-zone air conditioning, power front passenger seat, and heated power mirrors.
  • Driver Confidence Package: Available for an extra $995, the Driver Confidence Package offered remote keyless entry and starter, rain-sensing wipers, rear park assist, stability control system with brake assist, and heated washer fluid.
  • Luxury Package: Only available on the CXL trim, the Luxury Package added heated seats, heated folding mirrors, memory settings, heated steering wheel, and eight-way power driver and front passenger seats.
The Lucerne CXL lasted until 2011, and in 2012, the Lucerne was replaced by the second-generation Buick Lacrosse.
