What year was the first Buick LaCrosse CX?

I have a friend who is really into Buick cars. We get along great and never run out of things to talk about, but I do feel kind of bad that I know nothing about their passion. I’m trying to bulk up on some Buick trivia to impress them and contribute more to our conversations. To start, when did the Buick LaCrosse CX debut?

It’s really nice that you’re interested in learning about your friend’s interests! The year the first
Buick LaCrosse CX
debuted was 2005.
The Buick LaCrosse CX replaced Buick’s Regal model and had a 3.8L V6 engine and front-wheel drive. The LaCrosse was pretty fuel-efficient despite its four-speed automatic transmission and, interestingly enough, was the first vehicle to receive the Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle title in 2006.
Today, a used 2005 Buick LaCrosse CX sedan is valued between $4,768 to $6,465—with the typical listing price at $6,281. It has a solid 4.4/5-star consumer rating on Kelley Blue Book.
