What would insurance cost on a 2004 Hyundai Elantra?

"I'm 16 and will be getting a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. How much would insurance cost on it? I am currently on my parents' insurance with another vehicle."

“There are a multitude of factors that go into car insurance. Age is one that can have a significant impact on rates. As a new driver, your insurance will always be higher than someone older.
The best way to find out how much insurance may cost on the vehicle is to request a quote. Your parents can ask their insurance company to provide a quote for adding the vehicle to the policy. This will give you an idea of what it may cost to insure it.
If it’s too expensive, you can also try to shop around. You can request car insurance quotes from multiple carriers to see what the best rate would be.
If you still aren’t able to afford rates with other carriers, you may want to consider a different vehicle.”
