What will happen to my brother if I file a claim on his home insurance for injuries to my son?

“Your brother’s homeowners insurance policy would cover any residential employees, like a nanny. However, if you proceed with filing a claim against your brother’s homeowners policy, it could impact his insurance rates and his insurability down the road if there is a large payout for any harm done to your son. Your brother’s premiums could rise and he could have trouble finding coverage in the future, so tread carefully in this situation.
