What was the fastest electric car in the world in 2019?

I’m doing a bit of research on electric cars, and I know they have instant torque and great speed. What was the fastest electric car in the world in 2019?

Fast cars are awesome whether they’re electric or not! Though it had not yet been released to the public, in 2019, the Rimac Nevera was the fastest electric car in the world with a sprint to 60 mph in only 1.85 seconds.
The Rimac Nevera was presented at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show and was released in the summer of 2021.
There are a couple of ways to measure the speed of a car: the highest mph, and the speed of acceleration from 0 to 60 mph. The fully electric, Croatian-made sports car was—and still is—the fastest in both categories with a top speed of 258 mph. (We don’t recommend trying that at home!)
The 1,914-hp vehicle also has a range of 340 miles (547 km). Fun fact: this sports car, which looks like a real-life batmobile, was actually named after a Mediterranean storm. All these features don’t come without a cost. The price to buy one of these cars is just under $2.5 million.
An all-electric sports car can be pretty pricey, but your insurance doesn’t have to be.
