The volcanoes in
Hawaii
Volcanoes National Park are:
  • Mauna Loa, which last erupted in 1984 and is the world’s largest shield volcano in terms of both volume and area. It’s often referred to as a drive-in volcano due to its huge size.
  • Kilauea, which last erupted in 2018 and is considered to be one of the most active volcanoes on the planet.
While these definitely aren’t the only volcanoes in Hawaii, they are the only ones included in Volcanoes National Park. They also give viewers the opportunity to see actively flowing lava!
