What voids a Nissan warranty?

I have a 2020 Nissan that was involved in a crash and underwent extensive damage. What causes the original warranty to be void?

Nissan
car warranties offer comprehensive coverage on most parts of your vehicle, preventing you from paying for certain defects and repairs out of pocket. However, the Nissan Limited Warranty is considered void if the vehicle is issued a salvage title, which extends to any other titles that render the car:
  • Junk
  • Scrap
  • Rebuilt
  • Flooded
Additionally, some circumstances and events can void a Nissan warranty, like transferring the vehicle during the first six months of original ownership or registering the vehicle outside its original country.
Lastly, all warranties have an end date, so you may be liable for once-covered costs if you don’t purchase extended coverage.
Regardless of your warranty, there are other ways to save on car expenses—namely, shopping for car insurance on the Jerry app.
