What type of scooter insurance should I get?

I want to make sure my new scooter is fully covered and I see that basic and full coverage are both options. Which is better?

“Congratulations on your new ride!
It’s typically recommended to carry the highest level of coverage you can afford when looking at insurance. Whether it’s
car insurance
or scooter insurance, you want to be sure you’re properly protected.
Basic scooter insurance is typically
liability insurance
only, which would cover damage and injuries you cause to other people or their property.
If you can afford full coverage, it will include both
comprehensive
and
collision insurance
. Both of these coverages protect your vehicle even if you’re at fault.
To determine what you can afford, you’ll want to request quotes from several scooter insurance providers. Most car insurance companies offer scooter insurance, so if you are currently insured, that’s a good place to start.
If you want to make sure you’re getting the best deal on your coverage, the
Jerry
app can help. Several of our carriers offer scooter insurance, so we’ll get you free quotes from multiple providers so that you can choose the plan that works best for you. That way, you can know you’re getting the coverage you need for the best price possible so that you can get that scooter out on the road worry-free.”
