What type of insurance covers damage from golf balls?

A stranger hit a golf ball into my window when I was parked near a course. Would my Progressive insurance policy cover the damage?

“Since damage from golf balls is incredibly common, you have a few options, including coverage through your
Progressive
policy.
If you were parked on the golf course’s property, they may cover the damage. Some golf courses have liability insurance in place to help protect patron’s property from damage. Some courses also have liability waivers, which means there will be no coverage.
If you have
comprehensive coverage
with Progressive, then you can file a claim. Comprehensive coverage covers broken glass, including windows and windshields. If the damage costs more than your deductible, Progressive will cover the repairs. If it doesn’t, you’ll have to pay out of pocket for the repairs.
Should you not have comprehensive insurance, consider adding it to your Progressive policy. You can do this by contacting Progressive directly. While adding comprehensive won’t cover you your current broken glass, it will help in the future.
You should also shop around. Anytime you add coverage or make changes to your insurance policy, it’s a great time to review your options. You can do this by requesting quotes online or try using the
Jerry
app. Jerry gathers quotes from the top insurance providers and delivers the best deals to your phone in minutes for free.”
