What states are in Yellowstone National Park?

I’ve always wanted to go to Yellowstone National Park. I know some parts of it are packed with tourists, but I want to visit some of the outskirts to have a bit of solitude. What states make up Yellowstone National Park?

Despite its remote location, Yellowstone National Park welcomes nearly 5 million visitors each year—that’s a ton of people, but they’re primarily there to see Old Faithful and a few of the other famous places. If you want to get off the beaten path and see all the states in the park, Yellowstone branches out of
Wyoming
, into both
Montana
and
Idaho
.
While the portions of Yellowstone in Idaho and Montana are small in comparison to Wyoming, both have smaller crowds and plenty of activities. In Idaho and Montana, fishing and wildlife viewings are the best options. However, these two states offer amazing drives into the park—ones not often seen by the casual traveler.
If you’re going to Yellowstone National Park, make sure that you add
