What size is a Prius’ gas tank?

I love the great gas mileage that my Prius gets because it saves me money on my road trips. Now that I am about to buy a new one, how big are the fuel tanks in the current Prius models? The less time spent at the pump, the better!

We couldn’t agree more—even one less stop at a gas station can mean big time saved on a road trip. Before you dive into your next
Toyota Prius
, it’s a great idea to find out if the current models offer you the same benefits as your current car!
The answer is: it depends on which model Prius you want to buy. Here are the gas tank sizes you can expect to find on all the current models:
  • Prius Prime: 11.4 gallons
  • Prius L Eco: 11.3 gallons
  • Prius LE: 11.3 gallons
  • Prius LE All Wheel Drive: 10.6 gallons
What does this mean for you in terms of total range on a tank of gas? Looking at the Prius L Eco, which has an 11.3 gallon tank and a combined 56 mpg average, you can expect to spend over 600 miles on the road before you
run on empty
, which will likely meet your current needs!
