What should I look for in Ford Bronco replacement seats?

I recently started a new hobby: rebuilding a 1969 Ford Bronco. I’m looking for Ford Bronco replacement seats, but I’m not sure what I really need. Any suggestions?

That’s a fun hobby to have, and a great choice for a vehicle to restore, too. There’s a huge catalog of aftermarket Ford Bronco parts to choose from and a devout fan base ready to help. It’s a project you’ll never really consider finished - but in a good way!
1966 to 1977 Ford Broncos have two front seats and a 40 inch rear bench seat. Any seat that fits any Bronco from 1966 to 1977 will work, but you absolutely must make sure you also buy mounting brackets for whichever seats you choose. The seat’s manufacturer can give you more details.
Ford Bronco replacement seats will end up costing anywhere from $400 and up, with some of the more popular options closer to the $2,000 range. But that includes the two front seats and the rear bench.
Here are some of the websites popular among Ford Bronco enthusiasts:
  • Toms Offroad: Popular choice for all things vintage Bronco
  • Wild Horses 4x4: Another site that specializes in Broncos, including early ‘66 to ‘77 Broncos and the later full-sized ‘73 to ‘96 models
  • CJ Pony Parts: Carries a selection of vintage Ford, Chevy, and Jeep parts, including Bronco seats
  • LMC Truck: A wide assortment of parts for all sorts of trucks and SUVs, including the classic Bronco
Once your vintage Bronco is roadworthy, you’ll want to look into
classic car insurance
. Unlike regular
car insurance
that estimates your car’s value based on depreciation, classic car insurance considers your Bronco’s appraised value, ensuring you get ample coverage in the event of an accident or some other catastrophe.
Not all insurance providers offer classic car insurance, and this coverage usually comes with a lot of caveats. You’ll want to read up the policy carefully and follow their sometimes stringent rules to the letter.
