What should I expect in driving school?

My driving course starts tomorrow and I’m kind of nervous. I haven’t driven much since getting my permit. What can I expect in driving school?

It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous before your first lesson! The good news is your instructor will probably ease you into driving.
Here’s what to expect in driving school:
  • Going through the various controls and indicators in your vehicle—including your mirrors
  • Observing your instructor from the passenger seat as they demonstrate driving
  • Spending time practicing basic driving maneuvers
  • Getting real-life experience driving in different road conditions
  • Asking questions about traffic laws or safe driving behaviors
The great thing about driving lessons is that your instructor is there to help you become a better driver. They can help you feel more confident in your driving knowledge and focus on areas you can improve. With your driving lessons under your belt, you’ll be ready for whatever your driving test throws at you.
