If your car is too cold to start, start by turning off any of your car’s accessories, like:
  • Radio
  • Lights
  • Heater
Put your keys in the ignition and turn and hold the key for about 10 seconds.
In colder temperatures, the oil in your engine can thicken and congeal, and repeatedly turning the ignition can help relieve some blockage. But, if that doesn’t work, asking a neighbor to
jumpstart your car
is also an option.
Even though you can’t control the weather, there’s still lots you can do to prepare your car for winter like getting it a great car cover, storing it in your garage, and making sure there’s enough antifreeze in your coolant.
But, hands down the best thing you can do to help protect your vehicle from damage is to equip it with a great
