What should I do if I can't get in touch with another driver who was at-fault in an accident?

"Someone else hit me while pulling out of a parking garage and admitted fault at the scene. The problem now is that even though I have their insurance company and contact information, I can't get in touch with them. What steps can I take if my insurance company can't get a statement from them?"

“If you contacted your
car insurance company
, they’re responsible for getting in touch with the other driver’s insurance company, so you shouldn’t need to contact them directly.
If they still can’t get in touch, you can pay for the repairs using your own insurance (provided you pay the deductible). Otherwise, your only other option is to pursue compensation through small claims court.”
