What national parks are in Texas?

I’ve lived in Houston all my life. While I’ve ventured out to New Orleans, Dallas, and the Gulf Coast, I’ve never really seen the rest of my home state. What are the national parks that are in Texas?

Houston
is a wonderful city with plenty to do, but if you want to see a bit of Texas wilderness, you’re in luck. Texas has two national parks: Big Bend National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park.
Big Bend National Park covers over 800,000 acres in the southwest of Texas, making it the 14th-largest national park. Guadalupe Mountains National Park, just east of El Paso, is about a tenth of the size, but it offers majestic views of its eponymous mountains. Both are so remote that they only see between 200,000 and 400,000 visitors each year, meaning you’ll have the parks almost entirely to yourself.
Since both of these parks are remote, adding
towing and labor coverage
to your car insurance policy might not be a bad idea. Explore options on the
