What national parks are in Oklahoma?

I just moved to Tulsa from the east coast to work remotely at a fraction of the price. Some friends I’ve made have taken me fishing, hunting, and hiking, but I’m really craving a trip to a national park. Are there any national parks in Oklahoma?

Congrats on the move to
Tulsa
! Unfortunately,
Oklahoma
has no national parks, although it does have seven sites administered by the National Parks Service, as well as 32 state parks.
If you want to go to one of the Oklahoma sites of the National Parks Service, here’s a quick rundown of where to visit:
  • Chickasaw National Recreation Area
  • Fort Smith National Historic Site
  • John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park (right in your town of Tulsa!)
  • Oklahoma City National Memorial
  • Santa Fe National Historic Trail
  • Trail of Tears National Historic Trail
  • Washita Battlefield National Historic Site
